One of the most difficult parts about being a parent is finding someone to watch the kiddos for the occasional date nights and (kid free) events. I’m extremely lucky to have family close so we’ve not had to deal with booking a lot of sitters. And when we’ve needed someone I’ve had great luck tapping into the local university network sites. But the task can be a bit tenuous and time consuming.
Insert… urbansitter.com, a Bay Area website that was launched by local moms in September. It gives parents the ability to book qualified sitters, fast. I literally got online and had 3 interviews with qualified local sitters before my boys were done watching Curious George.
The site is set-up and organized in a way that parents can view sitters they know – as well as sitters their friends know – and book them in real-time.
