So, I’m knee deep in house hunting.
It’s been a fun adventure but I will admit I’m anxious to find the “right” home. I’m one of those people that it has to “feel right” not just be the right location, good square footage or a killer investment. I wish I could leave my emotions out of it… but here we are… still searching.
I fell head over heels for a Mid-Century home built in the 1960′s today. It reminded me of the house I grew up in which, of course, led me to tears thinking of my late dad as we drove away…
I’m left daydreaming of steel beams, glass walls and a gigantic concert fire place! Here is a little mid century inspiration just in case your modern dreams came true today too.
If you live in California and you follow the “healthy” happenin’ stuff, you’ve probably heard of Pressed Juicery by now. I went to my first Pressed Juicery store with a girlfriend in Montecito, California. We grabbed a few juices to mix with some adult beverages post our sunset stroll on Butterfly Beach. It was perfection. I realize this is not really the point but seemed important to share…
Anyway, back to healthy… the California-based juice company just released their first book, JUICE: Recipes For Juicing, Cleansing, And Living Well.
To celebrate the arrival of JUICE, founding partners and co-authors Carly de Castro and Hayden Slater will be heading to the Bay Area for two upcoming book signing events. The first will be hosted by Diesel, A Bookstore on Saturday, September 20 from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Marin Country Mart Farmers’ Market, and the second will take place in San Francisco on Sunday, September 21 from 1-3pm at Book Passage in the Ferry Building. The book is available for purchase on Amazon and wherever books are sold.
Sweater weather is upon us. I’m loving this fresh sweater designed by Six1Five. It’s perfect for a date night with the husband or a chic but casual day in the city.
Want a chance to win it? Let’s do this! We’re going to give it away next week when we interview the designers and founders of Six1Five… definitely girls to know.
