What a treat to check out the new Serena & Lily store on our beloved Sacramento Street in San Francisco yesterday!
Sacramento Street is a great “local” shopping district that I wrote about last year as a guest over at Confessions of a Design Geek. Serena & Lily’s first West Coast brick & mortar store is the perfect addition to this corner of the city where boutiques and cafes line the street.
The store will focus on clients who want to peek at products before making online purchases. They graciously welcome interior designers and their clients for a true design studio experience. With a plethora of innovative ways to display their colorful wallpapers, perfectly patterned prints and occasional furniture, the team truly seemed to think of it all. This includes a Living Room for designers to enjoy during client meetings which hosts an impressive gallery of rotating one-of-a-kind art you can pluck off the wall for your own home or for a client.
And, still true to their roots as a company founded in 2003 as a nursery furniture and bedding only venture… they had a sophisticated baby nursery on display, anchored by a new addition to their wallpaper pattern called Herringbone Wallpaper in Fog which I’m REALLY loving.
It’s always a pleasure working and spending time with “team” Serena & Lily. Special thanks to our host and friend, Lydia Cullen, for the gracious tour of the space.
I saw this pin on Pinterest over the weekend and I thought it was a cute idea for the high-end shopping obsessed. Great way to reuse those pretty, thoughtfully designed, shopping bags.
I can’t get enough of actress Megan Mullally’s Hollywood Haven, featured in Elle Decor.
The place is full of cheerful tones and bright, light-filled spaces… with a touch of vintage. It feels like it mirrors her onscreen personality!
Seems like the perfect venue for a chic party to kick off Spring.

I’m really loving all of the new online boutiques that keep popping up. One in particular that caught my eye recently is Nine Space!
I was drawn to them for their overwhelming attention to detail and perfectly photographed products. They jump off the pages and help tell a beautiful story of what they’re about – which is simply artisan decor, cozy throws and dreamy bathrobes. They also have amazing yellow dip-died napkins that are a must for Spring.
Although small with only 8 employees, Nine Space seems to be lean and mean, selling their thoughtful items to over 400 retailers, spas and hotels. They were named one of the top 100 private consumer product companies in 2013.
I pulled some of my favorite shots from their lookbooks and listed the products that I feel pair perfectly with the vibe.
Also, Nine Space heard we were fans over at Cecy J and offered a discount to our readers. Between now and April 30th they are offering our readers 30% off ALL items! Just enter CecyJLove at checkout.
Happy Nine Space hunting for Spring.
